Alesia [ah-lee-see-ah] is an isolated kingdom with few inhabitants. Aside from the export of wool from the long-haired mountain goats there is hardly any trade with neighboring nations. The Alesians live primarily on fishing and farming.
Brennin

Brennin [brenn-in] is a rigid feudal state, ruled with an iron hand by the power-hungry king Tarc. The land is foggy and mountainous and consists for the most part of moorlands and mixed forests. The woodlands of southern Brennin are said to be the home of rebels in opposition of king Tarc, who have repeatedly impeded the king's occupation of the Pelonian towns along Windy River. Brennian weapons, armor, wine and stonework are of reputedly high quality.
Dagost

Originally a Kergosian province, Dagost [dagg-ust] became independent a couple of centuries ago. It is a big, rocky island partly covered with hardwood forests. Dagost is mostly known for its splendid dyed textiles. The Dyer's Guild are the most respected people of Dagostine society and they guard their secrets vehemently. Thanks to the textiles, Dagost is held in high regard by both northerners and southerners.
Hearnir

Hearnir [yarn-ear] is a windswept, mountainous kingdom with deep fjords, largely covered in pine forests and peat bogs. The Hearnings, or "Ironings", are a hardy, proud people who prefer keeping to themselves. They are fine seafarers and smiths, and their iron is sought-after all across Aeldaria. Roughly on tenth of the population are slaves, descendants of prisoners of war. Of all the Northern kingdoms, Hearnir was least affected by the fall of Valoria and the war against the Rimelords.
Ilthora

Ilthora [ill-thora] is covered by hardwood forests and grass plains, and is criss-crossed with old paved roads. Many ancient Valorian buildings are still in use and are in good shape. Ilthora is the bastion of learning in the North. The old Mage Academy of Morigand still exists, and and it is mages and scholars for which the country is known. The order of the Warders has its seat in the town of Themion.
Joruna

Joruna [jor-oona] is the northernmost of the old kingdoms of Valoria. The population is concentrated to the two towns Eras Tolmyr and Eras Dal, and the rest of the country is covered in deep evergreen forests. People earn their living as hunters/trappers and woodcutters, as there is plenty of both wild game with valuable pelts, and good lumber. The hard wood of the giant Goldwood trees are very coveted in southern kingdoms.
Kergos

Kergos [kerr-goss] is the southernmost and most densely populated nation of the continent. It is a plutocracy, ruled by the heads of the nation's seven largest Commerce Houses. The nation is dominated by trade; the Kergosians export northern goods to the south, and vice versa. Most menial labor is performed by slaves. The nation's technological level is slightly higher than in neighboring countries, thanks to the close contacts with the Empire.
Myrkania

Myrkania [mur-kay-nee-ah] is a sparsely populated northern kingdom. In the north and west are deep forests, while the land's center is more open and hilly. The foremost trades are mining, lumbering and farming. The only large city is Brest at ?? River. The Myrkanians export timber, iron ingots, beer and cider.
Pelonia

Pelonia [pell-own-ee-ah] is a fertile, open kingdom with large cultivated areas. The nation is among other thing famous for its fine wines and the oil made from the Labbi trees. The Pelonians also trade with the Sea People (???) who populate the islands far into the eastern seas, exchanging grain, wood and Labbi oil for pearls, ink, wickerwork, and dried fish.
Pendras

Ever since Valorian times the Pendrans have bred fine horses, and to this day the kingdom is renowned for its mounts. Pendras [pen-drass] consists largely of open plains, except for the northern parts where lies the Druid Hills, and the western woodlands. Though there are plenty of horse breeders in Pendras, the majority of the population earn their living as farmers and craftsmen.
Isanbar (The Empire)
Except for in Kergos and Dagost, who trade extensively with the southern realms, not much is known about the Empire of Isanbar [eesan-bar] in the north. Most people have probably heard of the great city of Gol Ashamdir, but few know more than that Isanbar is a southern country mentioned in legends.
