- The game will be cross-platform.
- The game will be isometric.
- Combat will happen on the main map, not on any console style "combat screen".
- The game will be mouse controlled.
Some general ideas:
- The game will have a boardgame/pen & paper RPG feel. Not only is that a nice approach in itself, it will also make the design bit easier as we don't have to worry about animations, and we can get away with being less realistic in certain areas.
- The scale of the game should be fairly realistic however; houses and trees should be bigger than
the character and so on.
- Interiors go on separate maps.
- 3 classes ought to be enough: fighter, ranger, caster. This will keep the simplicty of the game, while still providing a good experience for the end-user.
